I don't even know where to start on this one, haha. I was fortunate enough to have met these 2 at a bridal show in Little Rock and they asked me to join them up in Providence to capture the big day. I knew going in, that this would be a gorgeous place to shoot but was overtaken with the beauty of it all. There are a lot of images on here b/c there were so many that I felt drawn to from the big day.
One thing about an old building like this is there seems to be more natural light. I love that, but at the same time, I wanted to explore more of the shadows created. Below is a great example of this.
Above was a fun shot just b/c I didn't want the "run of the mill" staircase shot. So, I turned around. Don't worry, I knew the mirror was there!
Little bit of play with motion. I think it's a cool effect.
Definitely wanted to show off the location and an amazing veil with this shot. Love that the groom ran down the stairs and was like "wow, that's gorgeous" while I was shooting it, haha.
Part of the reason I was able to get some many amazing shots of the couple, was they did a first look ALONG with photos after the wedding. Gives me enough time to play and get shots that look great as well as compliment them, individually.
(I'd be remissed if didn't mention this mansion was in Meet Joe Black)
A little bit of play along the shoreline.
This was during the first dance, absolutely no setup on this shot. I love the chaos of the first dance.
This is the dessert room...it's a cool concept. Had 10 or so different cakes for all the guests to sample. Along with banana's foster! (the chef said I was the first photographer to come behind him...thought that was a little sad)
Gorgeous bride and a 1949 car, you bet I'm going to play, even in the dark.
